How can I keep my English skill?

Hi guys, it's Miho ✌

(Idk there really exist "guys" that read my blog tho)

This is the first time to write an article in English.

No special reason :)

I just feel like writing in English right now :)

I'm gonna talk about my English skill itself here.

6 months and a half have passed since I came to the US.

That means I have 3 months more to go, only.

I'm not sure how many times I've been saying this recently, but, TIME FLIES.

So, my English has improved (more or less) for sure in this past half a year.

I'm never satisfied with my English though.

And it'd be better at the end of this semester (hopefully).

What I need to think is, HOW CAN I KEEP THAT SKILL IN JAPAN?

I'll go back to Japan right after the end of this semester that would be late May.

Then, I may don't have any opportunity to speak/listen to English there unless I create one.

Hmmmmmm...

Even though I spent as much time as 9 months in English-speaking country, it'd be nothing if I just FORGET it.

Something I'm now planning is

  - meetings with other students who came back from abroad to maintain it as well as me

  - meetings with students who are going to study abroad to have practical opportunity

  - build a community of students who speak English (whether native or not)

And here's the thing.

What's the most difficult is, after graduation.

There's no doubt that university is quite good place to create an opportunity because there are bunch of students and some students are in similar situation as me!

But, after I graduate and be a worker, HOW CAN I USE ENGLISH?

What if I'd be at a work that doen't need English at all?

How can I meet or create an opportunity to speak English?

This would be a hard and never-ending question to myself.

Thank you for reading✌

Have a good weekend all!
